I believe that I do communicate differently with certain groups of people. I communicate with family and friends differently from my co-workers and supervisors. I think that each group requires a particular communication style. I have more a laid back, and humorous attitude with my family from my work group. I am more professional with people that I work with.. I also think that we communicate differently from people who have a different language than we have. We communicate with using eye contact, smiles, close proximity, hugs, and kisses with difference cultures and diversity. I try to apply the rule of treating others as I would like to treated with everyone. I think that when communicating with anyone it is best to communicate intellectually, and positively. Good communication is the key to any relationship not matter who or where you are.
I totally agree with you. I communicate with my family and friends much differently than I do with my co-workers or parents. I don't think the people I work with could handle my communication style with those that I have a closer relationship with. I wish that I could communicate with all groups the same but that is just not the way things work. If only my parents and co-workers could hear the things that go through my head that I don't say out loud.
ReplyDeleteArthurine,
ReplyDeleteHaha Monique's comment is killing me, that is hilarious. If I started saying all the things I was speaking I would not have so many clients. I also wish I could speak to everyone in the same way but I don't think that would end well.
